Okay, I need to admit that I already destroyed couple of good clothes trying make them look better or just more stylish. I’m kinda creative person…what’s not always good for my clothes ;). But what I can definitely and with full confidence say is that I mastered denim rip process. And only one tool that I need are scissors. But the main secret is that I use them as a little helper only. Important thing is to make holes with your hands: make really little hole with scissors and then tag it to rip it larger. If you want to get only minor abrasions on your denim, the best way is to scrap the fabric vertically with medium sharp tool (all the way I use scissors :)) or for example the pumice stone – so it won’t cut it but distress a little (all the way I use scissors :)).
The best thing about making your own rips on denim is that they will be unique and one of a kind. And you decide how they will look like – playing designer role with them.
So, find jeans u want to give a new grunge life. If u don’t have any spare pair in your closet look for it in second hand store (like I acctually did). You have a lot of options for them: you can shorten jeans legs by making small cut and using ur streangh tear the rest of. Then balance it with little more ripping here and there. Or you can go crazy and make really big holes – if you don’t pay a lot for a stuff (like me), it’s a real fun!
“To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.”

“The urge to destroy is also a creative urge.”
